Dr. Johnston
Dr. Tom Johnston has practiced General Dentistry in Ogden since 1984. He was raised in Perry, Utah, attended BYU, and graduated with honors from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. He is an active member of the A.D.A., U.D.A., and the Weber District Dental Society. To stay current on the latest dental techniques, he attends lectures, seminars, and study clubs.
Like many of you, Dr. Johnston is involved in the community. He volunteers his dental services in several capacities. He is also active in church, school, and recreational activities. His hobbies include golfing, hiking, woodworking, and photography.
More than anything, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their children and grandchildren.
Melinda – Treatment Coordinator
Since June of 2008, I have been the Scheduling and Finance Coordinator at Dr. Johnston’s office and I have been involved in dentistry as an assistant and front office staff since 1989. Northern California was my childhood home and I have lived in several locations in the U.S., but we think of Utah as our home. My husband and I have been married for 32 years and we thoroughly enjoy our 4 children and 6 grandchildren. They are adorable, just ask me!! In my spare time, I enjoy reading and camping. I really enjoy working in this pleasant office.
Tammy R. – Treatment Coordinator
My career in the dental field first began in 2002 as a patient coordinator and have loved it ever since. I graduated as a Registered Dental Assistant through Vista College in 2009 and began working as a chairside assistant with Dr. Johnston in June 2011. I look forward to making this my full-time career and getting to know all of our great patients. I have been married for 5 years and have two handsome sons and one beautiful daughter who keep me busy all the time. I enjoy being outdoors and going for hikes and spending time with family and friends.
Kristen – Treatment Coordinator
Earlier this year, I joined the staff here as a part time chair side assistant and continuing care coordinator. It’s my job to help our patients remember to schedule the treatment and preventive care they need. Prior to completing an LDS mission, I gained dental experience working as an assistant. Since becoming a WSU student, most of my time away from the office is spent studying and going to class. I also enjoy being with my family and friends.
Amy – Dental Hygienist
My dental work experience began in 1993 as an assistant and later as a hygienist joining Dr. Johnston’s staff in 2001. I really enjoy our entire office team and love the fun environment here. My husband and I enjoy traveling and have been on many adventures together. We have two amazing boys who are very active in soccer. They keep me on my toes and I love every minute of it. In my spare time I enjoy any outdoor activity and I also love to read.
Hailey – Dental Hygienist
My career with Dr. Johnston began in early 2004 as a chairside assistant. I soon fell in love with dentistry and wanted to make it my full time career. In April 2010, I graduated from Weber State and received my dental hygiene license. Since then, I have been working as a hygienist and truly enjoy spending more one-on-one time with our great patients. Coming to work is so fun for me and our office team is awesome. In my spare time, I love running, scrapbooking, and making crafts. My husband and I like being outdoors and spending time with our families. Working for Dr. Johnston has been such a fun experience and I look forward to many more years in this office.
Tammy – Dental Hygienist
I have been employed as a Registered Dental Hygienist with Dr. Johnston since 2001 and started my dental career in 1994 working as a chair side assistant and front desk coordinator. I knew then that I had found something I loved and wanted to pursue as a career. I have been happily married for 14 years and am currently raising four beautiful children. I love being a wife and mother, but do enjoy my two days a week working with such a wonderful doctor and staff. In my free time I enjoy reading, community work, outdoor activities, but most of all spending time with my little family. I love getting to know the patients in our practice and value working with such great people.
